Our Cooking & ESOL projects

We run fixed term ESOL projects where we make dumplings with Women from migrant communities whilst developing ESOL skills. We combine elements of a typical English language class, understanding the recipe and creating different dishes. Our unique structure provides various other activities such as cooking demonstrations, group cooking, writing and researching for recipes and restaurant English language dialogue. Throughout the weeks, learners will also have opportunities to cook for and teach their dishes to community groups as well as volunteering on our market stalls and helping out at our supper clubs. Have a look at our photo-blogs from one of our previous sessions here to get an idea of how it all works.

All ESOL women are welcome, all levels. FREE.
